Requirements

Requirements for boarding:

1. Must be up-to-date on all vaccines (Rabies, Distemper/Parvo and Bordetella)

2. Dogs UNDER 30lbs only

3. Sniff & Stay Trial Day REQUIRED

4. MUST be cat AND dog friendly (we can test this during your Sniff & Stay Trial)

Sniff & Stay Explanation

🐾 Sniff & Stay – Trial Day (Free)

Before your pup’s first overnight stay, we schedule a Sniff & Stay Trial Day.
Think of it as a low-pressure meet-and-greet for dogs. Your pup gets to explore, make new friends, and learn that our home is a happy, safe place before their vacation begins.

How It Works

• You’ll stop by for a quick hello and drop your pup off at the PVWYD home

• Trial visits last 2–5 hours, based on your schedule (2-hour minimum)

• You can pick up your pup, or we offer free pickup and drop-off
  
  

Why We Do This

• We make sure our home is a great fit for your pup, and vice versa

• If your dog feels nervous when you leave, we can plan ahead with comfort tools or calming aids

• Your pup meets our senior cats (and 2 pups) so we can confirm they’re cat-friendly (and dog friendly)

• Dogs learn the routine, smells, and people ahead of time, so their vacation feels familiar

• Most importantly, they discover that you always come back, and this is a place they can relax
